What are the heads of government of most German federal states called?

Why — for every option

  1. A — "First Minister" is not a title used in Germany.
  2. B — "Prime Minister" is the title used in other countries (e.g. the UK), not the usual German term.
  3. C — "Senator" is used only in the city-states of Berlin, Hamburg and Bremen for government members, not in the majority of the Länder.
  4. D — Correct: in most of the 16 federal states, the head of government is called Ministerpräsident/in (Minister-President).
